Athens County Library Bookmobile Returning to AHS Beginning 10/30/25

Beginning on October 30th and then continuing on a bi-weekly basis, Athens County Public Library will be bringing its Book Mobile (BoMo) to AHS during Academic Coaching. Students who have all of their work completed and would like to check out a book from the county library may get a 10-minute Book Mobile pass from their AC teacher (attached) and head outside to the Book Mobile to browse their selection and get a book. The outreach librarian will even take requests from students and bring in books they want to read or books about topics that interest them. Most of our students 10-12th grade have a library card from last year, but Freshmen or new students without a county library card will be able to register for a card at the Book Mobile. Staff members are also welcome to come out and check out a book or register for a library card!

Guidelines:

• Students with missing assignments should not be allowed to go out to the Book Mobile.
• To aid with congestion, ACs with first lunch will be allowed to go out during 2nd block, ACs with second lunch will be allowed to go out during 3rd block, and ACs with third lunch will be allowed to go out during 1st block.
• The passes are good for 10 minutes to hopefully avoid students lingering or not being where they should.
• The Book Mobile will be parked out front, students should exit the building through the front door by the office and absolutely must have a pass to be allowed to go.
• I'll print 9 passes for each AC teacher and have them in your mailbox by the end of October--if you run out of passes, you can just print a copy from the document attached in this email.
